We had our monthly graduate videoconference yesterday. Our mix of grads has changed since 2010, and the videoconference just seemed to emphasise it. With the recent promotion of one of the grads to a coordinator role, we now have more females than males. Considering where we started in 2010, this is pretty cool.

Today was a very quiet day. I emailed a person my dad wanted me to talk to about work experience (it is my compromise between throwing a snit about not being treated like an adult and being an adult and calling her).

I finally got round to checking out The Crocus Cafe, and I'm going to go to a training session tomorrow. (Apparently it's only half an hour, so I think it's basically "this is where we keep the food", "this is where you put the money", and "this is where we keep the cleaning stuff".) Today was our last day serving customers. For a while it seemed like we couldn't possibly make it through the day - we ran out of tall cups, soy milk, white chocolate, raw sugar... we even started using retail bags of Espresso Roast since we finished our big bags of the stuff dealing with the rushes the past few days ( Read more... )
